Awakening to Oneness
January 8, 2021

Sponsored The Interfaith Center at Miami University,
Co-sponsored by: Start the Wave and
the American Meditation Institute
January 8, 2021

"Oneness" is the principle that our higher selves are inextricably intertwined with the rest of the world. That, despite the appearance of separateness, everything is interconnected: the world and the universe. This panel examines the underlying Oneness of all from several different faiths and traditions and offers examples of how individuals come to this realization through contemplative practices, such as meditation and prayer.

The Infinite and the finite
February 20, 2021

... what we lack in life is to be tuned with the Infinite and to be in rhythm with the finite. In simple words, to be in rhythm with the conditions of life and to be in tune with the source of our existence. (Hazrat Inayat Khan)

March 28: Sufism: Love, Harmony, Beauty
The Mystical Path of Inner Realization

Lecture Sponsored by Interfaith Center,
Miami University, Oxford, Ohio

Sufism is trans-historical, transcending historical boundaries, and Sufism is a trans-religious and thereby adopts a broader view than a limited religious identity. Sufism is the inward mystical path towards self-realization that leads to God-Realization. Sufism respects all religions, all faiths and belief systems which ultimately leads to unity without and unity within.

Hazrat Inayat Khan: The mystic says the explanation of the whole of religion is the investigation of the self. The more one explores oneself, the more one will understand all religions in the fullest light and all will become clear. Sufism is only a light thrown upon your own religion, like a light brought into a room containing all the things you want; the one thing needed was light.

April 17: The Infinite and the finite, Part 2

In the words of Hazrat Inayat Khan: The work that a Sufi considers his or her sacred work has nothing to do with any particular creed nor with any particular religion; it is only this simple thing which is to be in rhythm with life's conditions and to be in tune with the infinite.

Regretfully the audio and video files are not available for this class. While technology is a gift it is also fallible. Perhaps by tuning to the Infinite and the finite, you will be able to attune to the subject. Humbly offered below is the study guide and practices shared at the class.

In the words of Hazrat Inayat Khan: Love is the best means of making the heart capable of reflecting the soul-power....The heart of man is like a globe over the light of the soul. When the globe is dusty, naturally the light is dim. When it is cleaned, the light increases.

In the words of Hazrat Inayat Khan: When we pay attention to nature's music we find that every thing on the earth contributes to its harmony. The trees joyously wave their branches in rhythm with the wind; the sound of the sea, the murmuring of the breeze, the whistling of the wind through the rocks, hills and mountains, the flash of the lightning, and the crash of the thunder, the harmony of the sun and moon, the movements of the stars and planets, the blooming of the flower, the fading of the leaf, the regular alternation of morning, evening, noon and night - all reveal to the seer the music of nature. – The breath is what connects us with God, and the breath connects us also with manifestation.

Sermon & Meditation
Concentration, Contemplation, Meditation

Center for Univeral Oneness
Kansas City, Missouri USA

In the words of Hazrat Inayat Khan: Spiritual development is by the help of contemplation and meditation, and the science of breath being the foundation of each. Meditation is reached through two preliminary stages. The first stage is concentration and the next is contemplation. After these two stages comes the third, which is meditation. What comes after that is realization.
